ACTIVE GRANTS

The Clowes Fund is committed to providing information on our grantmaking activities in a clear and timely manner. The foundation is pleased to have awarded approximately $156 million since its founding in 1952.

In 2025, The Clowes Fund distributed nearly $3 million in total grantmaking, including $2.4 million to qualified charitable organizations in five states through its competitive grant cycle, and $370,000 through our Matching Grant Program for Members, Directors and Employees. (Other non-competitive grants include: Emergency; Commemorative; Birthday; Art Transfer.) The Clowes Fund’s most recent 990-PF (below) comprises a list of all grants paid in 2025, which includes payments on grants awarded in past years.

Among the 16 new competitive grants awarded in 2025:

— 63% are in New England; 37% are in Indiana.
— 81% are for Immigrant Services and 19% are for Workforce Development.
— 78% of these grantee organizations are led by a person of color.
