ACTIVE GRANTS

The Clowes Fund is committed to providing information on our grantmaking activities in a clear and timely manner. The foundation is pleased to have awarded approximately $156 million since its founding in 1952.

In 2024, The Clowes Fund distributed over $3 million in total grantmaking, including $2.65 million to qualified charitable organizations in five states through its competitive grant cycle, and $368,250 through our Matching Grant Program for Members, Directors and Employees. (Other non-competitive grants include: Emergency; Commemorative; Birthday; Art Transfer.) The Clowes Fund’s most recent 990-PF (below) comprises a list of all grants paid in 2024, which includes payments on grants awarded in past years.

Among the 34 new competitive grants awarded in 2024:
— 68% are in New England; 32% are in Indiana.
— 50% are for Workforce Development; 29% are for Immigrant Services;
and 21% are for other fields of interest.
— 74% of these grantee organizations are led by a person of color.
